Welcome to Wickwar.org!

Welcome to the new Wickwar Website. We hope you will find many items of interest about Wickwar, its history and what is happening in our village today.

Our village is on the northern boundary of South Gloucestershire, conveniently located between the two markets towns of Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire and Chipping Sodbury in South Gloucestershire. The original part of the village dates back to medieval times and historically it was a busy market town.

Currently Wickwar has over 700 properties and around 2,000 residents.

Wickwar is a thriving community with activities for all ages and groups of people. The village gives residents the opportunity to enjoy rural village life while being sufficiently close to Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham and Gloucester to allow relatively easy access for both work and a wide range of leisure, entertainment and retail services.

  • Discussion forums
  • Business Advertising
  • Online groups

We already have the following features:

If you are having difficulty using the site or cannot find a resource, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
